YOU WANT TO JOIN THE CONGREGATION – Everyone interested in membership at Bethlehem is invited to participate a New Member Orientation. During this two session orientation, we cover some history and teaching of the Lutheran Church, and what it means to be a part of Bethlehem. Orientations are offered several times each year. After attending the orientation, you can make a decision about joining the congregation. New members are formally received into membership at one of our worship services after attending their orientation. Please contact the church office at 225-9740 for the dates of the next New Member Orientation.

YOU WANT TO GET MARRIED – The first step is to call the church office to see if the date you want to get married is clear on the church calendar. You may do so up to a year in advance. Because of our worship schedule, Saturday weddings are scheduled at 1:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. If the date is available, a deposit and participating in our Wedding Orientation (or meeting with a pastor) is required to secure the date in the calendar. We will send you an information packet containing important guidelines for planning your wedding at the church. Call the church office at 225-9740 for more information and the dates of the next Wedding Orientation.

MARRIAGE PREPARATION CLASS
A counselor from Lutheran Social Services will lead couples through a marriage preparation series that deals with areas like communication and finances, fair fighting and in-laws.  This session is a requirement for all marriages at Bethlehem.  The mixture of other couples makes for an enlightening experience.  Please register directly with LSS at 229-1500.  The cost of the session is $100.

YOU WANT TO DISCUSS BAPTISM – Baptism marks entry into the Body of Christ and is an important step in the life of every Christian. Baptism at Bethlehem is celebrated at any of the regular worship services on the second, fourth, or fifth weekends of the month, Wednesday evenings and Saturday evenings. A Pre-Baptism Class is held periodically. Adults who wish to discuss baptism should speak with the pastor to discuss baptism and church membership. Parents with children desiring baptism should call the church office at 225-9740 to schedule a date and for information on the next Pre-Baptism Class.

YOU WANT TO USE THE CHURCH BUILDING – Members who wish to use the church building for a church activity, please call the church office and reserve a room by placing the event on the church calendar. Members of the congregation who wish to use areas in the church building for a family event may do so if the space is available. Community Groups may also use the church building for community meetings and events. Please contact the church office at 225-9740 to see if desired building space is available on the date you have planned and request a Facility Use Form which includes a copy of the Building Use Policy.
