As Christians, passing on the faith is vital. Learning and teaching is essential to our lives and faith. The first believers in Jesus were called "disciples" -- that is "learners." So also we are life-long learners as God's grace and guidance shape our lives.

The life-long journey of faith also includes each of us being more than just learners, we are teachers as well. With the early disciples we share the "Great Commission" which Jesus gave: Make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. At Bethlehem we celebrate that there is much to be learned from each other when we teach intergenerationally.
