Fruitful Living, Fruitful Giving

"Give us this day our daily bread..." Partner with us for our Fruitful Living, Fruitful Giving appeal this fall to help the fight against food insecurity.

Our fall worship series is Fruitful Living, and as we dive into the fruits of the Spirit, one being generosity, we'll dive into how we might both fruitfully live and give. Food insecurity is at an all-time high, especially with the return of charging for lunches in our local school districts. Every day, more than 106,000 people in South Dakota are at risk of going hungry. 1 of 8 individuals and 1 of 6 children are food insecure, meaning they might not know where their next meal will come from. Two entities that directly target food insecurity in the Aberdeen area are our very own Wednesday Night Meal Ministry here at Bethlehem and the Salvation Army's Snack Pack Program that provides food to kids who are likely to go hungry over the weekend.

So this fall, let's embody God's generosity by helping to feed the Aberdeen community and beyond. Easily make a gift to one or both of these causes HERE  or note one of the following designations on your offering envelope: Wednesday Night Meals, Snack Pack Program or both.

We'd also welcome a gift of your time. There are many service opportunities available for Wednesday night meals as well as the Salvation Army Mealshare Program. Click here  to sign up.

BLC Wednesday Night Meal Ministry

Each Wednesday evening, BLC is proud to serve over 400 meals to the Hub City and surrounding areas. You don't have to be affiliated with Bethlehem to be served, and there's no cost to the individual. This is a ministry that we're incredibly proud of, and we couldn't do it without the generosity of this congregation, the support of the community, or the gift of time donated by countless volunteers.

We hope to feed more than hungry bellies, we hope to feed hungry souls.

Join us every Wednesday from 5-6:15 in the fellowship hall!
