You are invited to connect with a small group this Lent.

DivorceCare and DivorceCare for Kids

Join others for this faith based workshop, starting Sunday, March 3rd from 4:00-5:30 p.m. Children ages 5-12 whose parents are attending DivorceCare are invited to attend DivorceCare for Kids, meeting separately but at the same time as the adults. Please contact the church office at 225-9740 or office@bethlehemaberdeen.org to sign up as space is limited.

Tuesday Ladies

Join the Tuesday Ladies at 7:00 p.m. in the Fireside Room on Tuesday nights beginning March 5. We will be starting a 7 week Lenten study called “He Set His Face to Jerusalem” by Richard B. Wilke. We will be looking at Jesus’ journey to Jerusalem in order to help us think about how we set our faces in life. Books are available from Laura Saunders or through the church office.

Guys: Hungry for more than just lunch?

Each Tuesday at noon there’s an ever-changing gathering of guys taking their lunch break at Bethlehem. Together we talk about our everyday lives and read a Bible passage. We share conversation about the connections between the passage and what we are going through. It’s not about what you know, but what you notice. If you are hungry for connections with a few other guys and God, come to Tuesday Men – noon in Conference Rm 1. And if you are hungry for food: bring your lunch. Feel free to contact Pr. Jeff for more information.

O2

Is your life too fast? Do you long for a calm deep breath? These are not merely physical longings, but spiritual ones as well. Sunday mornings when Sunday School is in session, a group of adults gather in the chapel to pause together and breathe. Like the children, we read a story from the Spark Story Bible and then we playfully talk about it. We reflect on how the story connects with our stories. No experience required, just an openness to the Spirit stirring. O2 is an informal gathering in the Chapel Sunday mornings at 9:40. Questions? Just show up or contact Pr. Jeff.

Adult Ed

Have you ever wondered how so many different Christian traditions began? Are you interested in learning what is similar or what is different from our own Lutheranism? Adult Education will be using the Adam Hamilton study, “Christianity’s Family Tree - What other Christians Believe and Why,” as we explore these and other questions.  Sunday mornings at 9:40 and Wednesday nights at 7:10.

Pickleball

Come play this fun game Mondays 10 a.m. to 12 noon in the Re-Creation Center.  It’s a great way to get some exercise and meet some new people.  Along with playing and enjoying fellowship, we pray together.  No pickleball or prayer experience necessary.  This isn’t a cut-throat group, but simply an opportunity to play, feel good about yourself, and have a boost in confidence.  For more information, contact Linda at 216-7233 or klschuh@abe.midco.net.

Coloring & Conversation

Do you like to color? Are you craving for some caring conversation? Join us Sunday afternoons during Lent (March 10th thru April 14th) from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. in the Fireside Room. Color pages & supplies will be provided. Feel free to bring a friend. For more information contact Brenda at 216-1408 or brenda.glasford@yahoo.com

Finding hope in God’s promises as we grieve

What are some of those promises? How can they help in whatever type of loss we may be experiencing? Meeting Tuesday evenings beginning March 12 - April 9 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in The Hub.

BYOB – Bring Your Own. . . Bible

Do you have questions or curiosities about the Bible? Do you bring your kids to Bethlehem so they can learn about God, and yet you yourself are hungry to learn as well? Do you hesitate to read the Bible or go to a “Bible Study” because you don’t know enough? BYOB is just for you! Gather with Pastor Jeff and others to explore the Bible together. Bring your questions. Bring your curiosity. Bring your hunger to learn. And bring your Bible if you have one. No experience required. No experts allowed. Wednesday evenings after worship (7:00 ish) in Conference Room 1 starting March 13.
