Confirmation
Confirmation is a collection of experiences for the head, heart and hands of high school students to dive deeper into a living faith in Jesus Christ. Based on Luther's teachings in the Small Catechism, discover the heart of Jesus story is show to us God's love and grace through God's Word and the Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion. Students are invited to make promises (echoing those that their families made at their baptism) and to live in Christian community and serve their neighbor.
Classes for 9th grade students are held on
Wednesday evenings at 7:00 or Sunday mornings at 9:40 during the school year.
Parents are included during the winter.
10th grade is held Wednesday evenings in the fall at 7:00 called Practicing
the Promises. They also choose an adult faith mentor and meet 3 hours per
month, four times through the fall. Contact Pastor Kevin for more information
about Confirmation.
Peer Ministry
Peer Ministry is offered to students in 10th - 12th grade. Students go through a 16 session program designed to help them walk in appropriate ways with their peers through the many problems, temptations, and “junk” that high school students face every day. The skills learned will last a lifetime! Contact Denny for more information.
