Spark Joy...The Art and Joy of Sisterhood: Finding Strength through Connection
Helen Torrence, one of our Spark Joy regular attendees, will share the story of her journey of self-improvement that was first sparked by author, motivational speaker and podcaster, Rachel Hollis. Helen refers to the following quote from Michelle Obama, which speaks to content Helen will touch on:
“Let’s invite one another in. Maybe then we can begin to fear less, to make fewer wrong assumptions, to let go of the biases and stereotypes that unnecessarily divide us. Maybe we can better embrace the ways we are the same. It’s not about
being perfect. It’s not about where you get yourself in the end. There’s power in
allowing yourself to be known and heard, in owning your unique story, in using your authentic voice. And there’s grace in being willing to know and hear others.”
We invite you to bring a friend!
Our session is rooted in scripture from
Ecclesiastes 4:9-11 “Two people are better than one, because they get more done by working together. If one falls down, the other can help”.
